I assume you mean Mary/Maria Sands rather than Bridget Sands?
The subscription site Roots Ireland has a good number of James Smith/Smyth baptismal records in Athboy. We also don't know if he was from a different parish. No way to confirm any of these records without knowing his parents names.
Regarding Mary/Maria Sands, there are three baptismal records for a Mary Sands in Athboy:1826 1828 and 1830. We also don't know if she was baptized in the parish.

On the subscription site Roots Ireland there is a July 29 1858 marriage in Athboy between a James Smith and a Mary Sands. I assume that was the correct marriage.
There is also a March 27 1861 baptism for a Bridget Smith in Athboy with parents James Smith and Mary Sands. There were also baptismal records for a James in 1859 Mary 1863 Margaret 1867 Rose 1870 and Michael 1873. Is this the wrong family?
