Patrick Morrison / Ellen Clarke, 1850's, county Mayo

Hi,

I am looking for information on this family in Mayo county. Patrick Morrison / Ellen Clarke.

They lived in Knockmore, Killala parish, county Mayo in the 1850's. They had a daughter named Mary Morrison born 1854. Other children were Honor,William, and Michael. There may have been others. My 2X great grandmother was a Mary Morrison, born about 1855 in Ireland, died 1929 in Lawrence, Massachusetts. She married Jeremiah Casey in Cambridge, Massachusetts in 1882. Her parents were Patrick and Ellen Morrison. This Patrick Morrison and Ellen Clarke are the only Patrick and Ellen Morrison that I have found from this time period in ireland, and I am trying to prove if they are the parents of my Mary Morrison.

To clarify- you aren't sure if she was from Mayo or her mother's last name is Clarke?

Not all parishes had started registries by 1855. Of those that had registers, I did not find any other Marys with the mother Ellen on RootsIreland

This is the family I am looking into. I am trying to determine if my great grandmother, Mary (Morrison) Casey, is the daughter of this Patrick Morrison/Ellen Clarke. The only information I have on Mary before her marraige in 1882 is her approximate born date, about 1855 in ireland (no specific location), Her immigration date (one sourse says 1880, another 1885, I assume 1880 since she was married in 1882 in Massachusetts.) From her marraige record (first marraige) I have her parents names as Patrick Morrison and Ellen (no last name).

I have not found any other Patrick Morrison/Ellen combination anywhere in Ireland in the 1850's. 

Alternately, If I can find evidence of Patrick and Ellens daughter Mary, born about 1 Oct.,1854, that will help. This might actually disprove my idea if I find that she married or stayed in ireland.
