Hi I am looking for any information about John Mahon born about 1816 in Co Mayo.He married Sarah McKew/McHugh and they had Thomas 1835,Ellen 1837, John 1839,Michael 1842, Patrick 1845. By 1850 the family had moved to Hull,East Yorkshire.Thank you Julie Sutcliffe

The 1851 England census where their name is written as Mann, also shows that they had a daughter named Ann born in 1850 in Yorkshire, England. What makes you think that they were from Mayo? I checked marriage and birth records for Co. Mayo, but did not find anything for this family. Doesn't mean they were not from there, it could be that they are from an area that does not have records that early.

Hi Carolyn, Various children list Co Mayo as a place of birth but I cannot find any trace of the family. Also Sarahs maiden name is recorded with an Hull ear so could be slightly different.Yours
