I am looking for descendants of John Ruane, a shoemaker, from New Antrim st in Castlebar. He had 12 children, one of which was my grandfather, John, who came to Boston.
Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks
Have you posted a query on the Castlebar website? http://www.castlebar.ie/
You could post in the " Find your Mayo Roots" section on the left hand side of the Main page or on the Nostalgia Board.
Some of the members might be able to help you or know of the family.
Good luck with your research
