Dr. Butler in Castlebar, Mayo

I have recently found information stating that my 4th great grandfather was Dr. Butler in Castlebar, Mayo in the early 1800's.

I cannot find him or his family on any site. My 3rd great grandmother is Clarinda Butler, him daughter. Any information to get over this brick wall would be appreciated.

Are you on Ancestry and have done DNA? I'm not sure if my Butlers were from Castlebar or not. I have some Castlebar relatives, so it's worth checking. Mine emigrated to Canada in the 1810-1830 timeframe.

Thank you for your replies. I am wondering if there is a website that would list professional people in the early 1800's. I still believe my 4th great grandfather was a doctor in Castlebar.
