Missing Haddican Child

I've been researching my Haddican family from Bekan in County Mayo. Through the massive help in the message boards on Ireland XO I've joined up the links to my Third Great Grandfather Edward Haddican. He's known by other names but in the Bekan parish records he seems to be Ned Haddican (on one record Haddiens) married to Mary Byrne (sometimes Mayne/Byron). They had the following children Edmund, Bridget and Mary and Ellen. I've just found a missing child called Patrick who has Ned Haddican and Mary Byrnes as parents. He was born in July 1838. What I can't find is if he was an infant death because I have no further records for him. The family land in Bradford re 1851 but without Patrick.
