These seem to be the only ones that fit from the Bekan Baptism records  of the 1850s.  It seems that they used a lot of Latin spellings. Michael born 12 Sep Baptised 18 Sep 1852 of Dominiscus Grogran and Margarita Grealy sp. Lauretius Grogan and Catherine Grealy

Catherine no birth date Baptised 12 Oct 1852 of Jacobus Byrne and Brigida Eagany sp Martinas Brennan and Catherine Keane

check out www.eastmayo.com for other Bekan records.

I also have a Dominic Grogan, late 19th century from  Mayo, Kilmovee parish.

His father was Pat Grogan from what I presume is Sion Mills Co. Tyrone.

Catherine Beirne Age 20 in 1881 was the daughter of a School Teacher Michael Beirne who resided in Bekan.

There is a record in Bekan Church records for a Catherine Beirne (Or Byrne) born to Michael Beirne and Margaret Reilly on the 27 Mar 1862. She had a sister Mary born 20 Sep 1863.
