Parish Records - actual books

Hello,

Does anyone know ifI can get access to the actualParish books (marriage/baptism)? And if yes, do you know where they are located? I am trying to plan a trip to Dublin and want to get everything organized first.

I have been searching through the LDS microfilms for many months (Mayo)and so many records are faded or the handwriting is hard to decipher that I think maybe looking at the original books might be clearer to read.

Also, just an added question, does anyone know what "churched" means? I see it occasionally listed on the microfilm in some parishes but I have no idea what it represents.

Thanks in advance.
