Harriet? Aghamore/Tomboholla Duffy

Hello 

Have been searching for years

My 4 x GGparents are John & Harriet Duffy

John gives 1801 DOB

Harriet 1806

Both dates change often on Ancestry uk & .com

This couple left Co Mayo circa 1852 as not in 1851 census but a daughter Margaret Duffy M Walter Lowery in Kingston upon Hull Yorkshire. St Charles Catholic chapel Jarret street. 

It's impossible with no or very little pre 1864 records from Ireland. 

John says on 1861 England census he was born in Tombohola, now mainly fields. Harriet has no surname other than Duffy All of their 6 children (Mary, Margaret, Catherine, Hannah or Ellen, John & Patrick) are down as born in Aghamore with dates between 1833 & 1846. 

The move to Kingston upon Hull aka 'Hull' after the Famine years cant have been easy Whole family must have walked a lot or packed into a wagon with horse or Donkey to get from Mayo to Dublin. 

I do have my mums & my DNA on Ancestry uk but it does not help when searching thru bits of records As John Duffy in Co Mayo was as bad as looking for a John Smith in Hull. If the church in Aghamore or Tomboholla had clear marriage records but they don't Some snippets microfiche are impossible to read. How can I find out my 4 x great grandmother Harriet (married Duffy) surname ??
