Place name information - Laughane Drumlish?
Might someone be able to identify a residence "Laughane" given in Drumlish, Killoe parish records of long ago? Our John O'HARA, son of Patrick and Mary Donohoe O'Hara, was baptised April 14, 1834 and the family's residence is given as Laughane. I also saw a Laughane Drumlish listed for unrelated person - McKenna - in an 1857 church record, when I searched by the place name. Yet, I've looked in townlands.ie and in place names of Ireland very old books by experts and so on and I just cannot find anyplace named Laughane. It doesnt seem to have been a townland? Hoping there someone in Drumlish who has heard of this place and can give me an idea where it was. Thank you, Catherine Green
[My Killoe surnames are DONOHOE, O'HARA , CARNEY/KEARNEY and DOORIGAN; witnesses on the O'Hara church records at Drumlish were QUIN and CLARK but these may have been friends not related. Also if any Donohoe relatives read this and want to try comparing DNA - I am on gedmatch - kit T429341.
Thank you. Catherine
