Researching McNamara, Hilliard, Fleming, O'Donovan, Walsh, and Flynn ancestors of the Cappanouk/Murroe area. My McNamara ancestors left Co. Limerick in 1888/1890 for New York and later Massachusetts.
Hi there,
Have you tried looking at the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) or the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64)? Griffith's is freely available here: www.askaboutireland.com
If you have any additonal details about these families, please add them to this message thread. The more information you have, the more easily I and everyone in the locsl communities can help you.
Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.
Kind regards,
Sinead Cooney
Genealogist (Ireland XO)
