Trying to find william NORRIS parents He was born 1821 in Limerick county
according to census.He married Catherine Gardner in cork and moved to cork county to start family. . I cannot find the first names of his father or mother. Thank you for any assistance Maggie

I searched on the subscription site Roots Ireland and located a September 16th 1821 baptismal record for a William Norris with father John Norris and mother Anne Martin. The RC parish was Galbally and Aherlow. We need more information to confirm that this record is for your William. Do you have the names of any siblings?

Per RootsIreland (paid subscription), there was a William Norris born 16 Sept. 1821 in Galbally and Aherlow , Limerick to John Norris and Ann Martin.

This doesn't answer your question but when William and Catherine got married in 1845 in Kildorrery, Cork one of their witnesses was Cornelius Norris. Their 10 children were all born in Quitrent, Kildorrery, Cork. The oldest was William and second daughter was Ellen. One son was named Cornelius.
A Cornelius was married in 1844 in Kildorrery, Cork to Elizabeth Roche. One of the witnesses was Johanna Norris. Cornelius' son Patrick was born in Quitrent, Kildorrery.
Cornelius and William might have been brothers??
