Wilkison - Castleconnell, Limerick

Limerick

Searching for any Wilkisons' from Limerick/Tipperary/Clare areas. My 4 x Great grandmother Fanny Wilkison married Richard Bourke (no marriage reg found) and had Richard Jnr c.1839, Thomas c. 1834 and Margaret c. 1835 and possibly others I haven't found. The birth dates are from the shipping records into NSW.

They had a cousin Bridget Bourke already here who paid a surety for the passage.

Records for Castleconnell don't start till about 1858 from memory but where its located on the top of Limerick theres a possibility that they were from over the county borders to.

Anyone related to the Wilkisons ??

Wilkison is a name that is not common in Ireland.

In the Tithe Records - 1823 to 1837 there are only 7 records, mainly in Co. Donegal.

Wilkinson surname is quite common in Ireland with a number in the parish of Aherlow/Galbally. Some are church of Ireland (Protestant).

An Agnes Wilkison was baptised im Limerick in 1831. A Patrick Wilkison is recorded in the parish of Caherelly

See records attached. Tithe Records can be found for free at www.nationalarchives.ie/tithe,
