Seeking a Fitzgerald family from County Limerick.

Limerick

Looking for a distant grandfather of mine named Edmund Fitzgerald, b.app.11/1699 in Adare Parish, as is believed. D. 1757 in County Limerick. M. to Parmolia Genua in 1718. wife b. app. 1698, Ireland.

He had a son named James Fitzgerald, b.abt. 1720 in Counties Limerick or Offaly. d abt. 1822 in Pittsylvania, Virginia. Married to Mary O'Brian in 1740; she was b. app. 1720.

Would appreciate anything on them.

Sincerely,

G. Fisher

Thank you John.  I was thinking that may be the case.  But Adare was a supposed city but in County Limerick rather sure.

Thank you,

I don't know how common these names are but I have a direct ancestor named Edmund Fitzgerald who was (apparently) born on a ship in the North Atlantic in route to N. America in 1745. He was also long-lived 102+ years and also ended up in Pittsylvania county VA. Are we cousins?
