Hello, I'm hoping to find living relatives in Limerick. My grandfather was John Rainsford, born March 4, 1881 in Cappanahanagh. His parents were John Rainsfordand Johanna O'Meara. My grandfather moved to Chicago in 1925.

Hi Kim, there are Rainsford's still in the area. There were only 14 families of them in Co Limerick in Griffiths valuation . Most of them in Abington. If you check the headstone inscriptions for Stradbally Castleconnell on www.historicgraves,i.e. there are Rainsfords buried there.
