Patrick (J.) O'Connell / Connell and Emma (Amelia?) Finn - Limerick / Tipperary

My final request, as I prepare for my trip to Limerick / Tipperary area October 17 - 19 (+/-).

My maternal great grandparents were Patrick (J?) O'Connell / Connell b.1862, in Limerick, the eldest son of James O'Connell / Connell and Margaret Ryan. He married Emma (Amelia?) Finn (b.1859) also of Limerick and they emigrated to USA (Chicago) in about 1884. I have very little on Emma's parents. Her father might have been named "Michael".

I believe Patrick had about five siblings;

  • John b. 1865
  • Mary b. 1867
  • Thomas b. 1869
  • Sarah b. 1872
  • Margaret b. 1874

As best I can tell Emma / Ameila had two sisters:

  • Anne b. 1855 and married a John Carey in Ireland
  • Bridget b. 871
    • I think that Bridget too emigrated to USA / Chicago and married Patrick's brother John.

Would be thrilled to get any more info on these family members.....incuidng past generations, where they lived, worshiped (Catholic), work, etc.

Thank you in advance.

Mike,

 On RootsIreland (paid subscription) I found an Ann Finn baptized, parents Michael Finn and Winifred (Winny) Dwyer, in 1855 in Bilboa at, Cappamore Roman Catholic Church, Limerick. An Ellen was baptized there in 1861 (maybe Amelia)

Michael and Winny had the following children registered in Cappagh, Tipperary. Their address was Clonteen. They probably were baptized at the Cappamore RC Church- Margaret 1864, Bridget 1866, James 1870

Regards- Mary

The O'Connells had two additional children John 1861 and Dennis 1874. I did not find Patrick on RootsIreland.
