Any additional information you can provide about Ann Jane McMahon would be helpful. Approximately when she was born. Did she stay in Limerick? If not, where did she go? Did she get married? Where and when? Or anything else you know about her.

Per RootsIreland (paid subscription), there was an Ann McMahon born December 27, 1837, in St. Michael's, parents Owen and Honora McMahon.
Possible siblings born in St. Michael's, Mary 1843 and John 1852. Mother identified as Honora Minihan.
April 7, 1837, in St. Michael's, Eugene (another name for Owen) McMahon married Hanora Minihan.

If I have identified the correct Ann (I haven't found Jane associated with her name), I have found additional info on Ancestry.
Ann was married in 1861 in St. Michael's to Henry Smith. Henry was a corporal in the 9th Regiment. They were both Church of Ireland. I believe they went to England. Henry died before 1874 when Ann (widow) married Charles Burchard in Liverpool, England. Her father John (another name for Owen) was a miller.

Hi Mary I got the name from a post you left on the Cork message board and it said McManon ann Jane or Jane ann married to a Samuel G O'Dell who died in India where they were based as he was in the army she had a son named after his father who was my great grandad. She remarried and my great grandad it seems went to live with them in England. It's possible she is my great great grand mother regards Mark O'Dell

Are you referencing the Ann, I mentioned above from St. Michaels? I have not found anything to suggest a connection. I have been trying to find a marriage record for Jane Ann McMahon and Samuel G. O'Dell. Have you considered that Jane Ann was born in England?

Morning Mary yes it's possible but I didn't know anything about her until I saw your post on my my Cork message board and I just presumed she was from limerick the same as Samuel ,or maybe she was born in India and married there to Samuel O'Dell also ? Mark If the Hertfordshire connection makes sense, info based on an Ancestry tree. Samuel O'Dell's father was Samuel O'Dell (abt. 1793-1883). He lived in Hertfordshire, England all his life. Mother, maybe Susan Ebbs (1767-1844). He married Susan Chappel (1801-1876) in 1822 in Standon, Hertfordshire, Susan also lived in Hertfordshire all her life, parents William Chappell and Catherine Holgate.

Hi Mary it seems that it was my great grandad s parents as he was born in dum dum bengal. Sam snr died in 1870 and Jane ann remaried in 1871 to a Richard watts .Jane ann was born 1846 and possibly died in 1881 .it seems she remarried a Richard watts .this is what I'm reading on my Cork message board that I think you found and posted for me to read .I never knew anything regarding my great great grandparents as my gran didn't really know much either and she passed away a long time ago before I could as her anymore about the family kind regards Mark
