It is not known the location where James returned too and/or what he did until the 12th July 1851 when JamesLeary,Luke Finn and John Kennedy (whom all served together) along withtheir wivies (Elizabeth Leary, Catherine Finnand Mary Kennedy all nee Maloney and were sisters, whom I believe were all married in Cork, Ireland just prior leaving Ireland) boarded the "BLENHEIM 4" and arrived in Hobart Town, Tasmania on the 31st Oct 1851, James Leary, Luke Finn and John Kennedy all served aboard the Blenheim 4 as convict guards. Upon arriving in Hobart Town, James and Elizabeth had 6 children. Elizabeth Leary died 9th Sept 1866 and James Leary Jnr died 17th April 1869 at the General Hospital Hobart of Tuberculosis.
