I'm looking for family of Lawrence O'Rourke from Bruff, County Limerick. Born 1838, emigrated to US, Iowa. Looking for parents, grandparents, siblings, etc.
Many thanks!
Hi Mark,
www.rootsireland,ie has the baptismals records for Bruff. ( there is a daily or monthly rate for this site.)
After a quick search, i have found the marriage entry for Laurence's parents John Rourke and Ellen Lundon in 1833 and the baptisms for him and his 5 siblings.
Civil regisration started in 1864
www.irishgenealogy.ie is where you will find them. This site is free.
Ah, a great lead! Thanks for the research you've done and sending on the info!
Hi There
There are still several O'Rourke families still living in the Bruff/Kilmallock area.
