Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Have you already checked rootsireland or the original Askeaton records at http://registers.nli.ie as parish records begin there in 1829.

Below are two 1832 baptismal records in Askeaton RC church for a Patrick Shaughnessy. The first record may be your ancestor but as Clare advised check the register for Askeaton.

Thank you Clare and Roger! I am debating the 175 euro cost of the Limerick genealogy report. Have either of you used it and is it very detailed? Meaning how many levels of ancestry does it include? Also, Clare, I seem to have located the ba[ptirm, but it appears to be on the same day of his birth. Was it common to do that then, or were baptisms later on when the child was a few months old? Cheers!
