Raymond,
Could this be his death record in 1904?
You will note that William Pollock, nephew, was present at death.
Regards,
Death of a Richard Pollock 1947
Marriage of Richard and Anne 1861 https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/files/civil/marriage_returns/marriages_1861/09606/5483621.pdf
i had his marriage record already & he does appear on Griffith valuation. I have another estate record that states in absconded in 1864 leaving a debt owed to his landlord & peculiarly he returned to pay the debt and still left the land. I’m assuming he emigrated
the Richard that died in 1904 is a different Pollocks line that came from portlongfield originally & his extensive family are recorded in the 1841 Killeshandra census. He married a Anne Boyd while his brother also married her sister
my Richard was born in 1817 & his family are recorded on the 1821 census in carrigallen
I was just looking at profiles from Carrigallen, to see if there was a connection to my Robert Earl who was born in Carrigallen. There is a James Pogue 1786-1864 emigrated about 1843 to Victoria County Ontario. Wife Mary Ann, and may have given brother's name William to son b1846
Thanks, I just checked him out but looks like his father was Stuart Pogue and he came from Sinaugh townland in Carrigallen. I see on another tree his wife is name as Elizabeth Thornton. Could you share where you found your info and that his wife was Mary Ann?
There a Earles family living in Gortermone, Carrigallen in 1821 an all female family

Mary 35 1786 Gortermone
Sarah 64 1757 Gortermone
James Pogue: 1861 Canadian census, Ops Township Victoria County: Farmer; Church of England; married during year (1836?) wife Mary Ann b 1821, with ch: Sarah bn Ire 1842, James 1844 Cda, William 1846, George 1850, Thomas 1852 and Matilda 1856 He was located in 1851 Agricultural Census for Ops, on Lot 12 Concession 2. I didn't follow him any further, as the Pogue family appear to have emigrated in 1843 and my Earl/Hunt family emigrated in 1820
Thank you Raymond Warrington for this information on this Earl family. They could be related, as I also have a Margaret Earl but born 1819, and with her mother's name as Ann, born 1795 (FindAGrave 238097974). I also know that in 1820, Margaret's father Robert received a reference from the Parish Priest of Carrigallen "Robert Earls: Honest, industrious, sober, well behaved and good Protestant, and descended from same and lived and earned in aforesaid Ireland Parish and County". Robert used that recommendation to apply for land, which he had leased by 1821, (the 1822 Beverly Tax Assessments show him on that land with produce from the previous year).
Hi Raymond
I am a descendant of Bothwell & Stuart from Sonnagh, Carrigallen. I have Pogues in my records and I’d love to connect with you. I think I know who you are as I’ve seen you on ancestry and Facebook with common ancestors. Hope to hear from you, Catherine Moore, Irvinestown
Hi Catherine
my email is raymondwarrington@hotmail.com if you want to share any info you have
Hi,
I know I'm late to the discussion.
I'm a descendant of Stuart and Jane Pogue (GGG Grandparents) from Sinaugh. They came to Ontario Canada in 1824 where they eventually resided in Victoria County, OPS Township.
There is a James and Elizabeth Pogue whom are my GG Grandparents. What I haven't been able to confirm is that Elizabeth's maiden name is Thornton as Raymond has mentioned. From my research, Elizabeth is a daughter of Stuart. James I believe is from another Pogue family. This info was from affidavits after Stuarts death. I've not gone further on that.
There are a number of Pogue's in Victoria County but I haven't researched on them beyond my branch.
