Gilroy. Furey
LeitrimKillanummery (Leitrim)
I have a John Gilroy in the 1911 census In Correagh, Sligo visitor at McDaniels along with John Sheersfrom Scotland (nephew). I have Mary Flaherty, 1836-1916, Cartronhugh, Sligo, who married Gilroy in Scotland. She hadpreviously been married to Bartholomew Furey of Correagh.
I have been unable to connect these Gilroys / Furey with any of the Sligo Gilroys in Griffiths, the 1901 or the 1911 census. Because of the proximity to Leitrim, I am guessing that they came from Leitrim. I found Gilroy in Sriff, near Dromahaire, but no firm connection.
Hoping to connect with any Gilroy researchers, Leitrim or Sligo.
