Thomas Kelly

Hi,

I am looking for some information on my ancestor Thomas Kelly. He was the father of my Great-Great Grandfather William Kelly. I know that William was born around 1866 as his he died on July 4 1936 and I think his birth year was estimated at 1866 in some records.

I have very little information on William’s father Thomas and the only record I have for him is when he was names as William’s father in William’s marriage record. William’s mother was written as Mary but that’s all.

Another record that lists a William Kelly is a baptism or birth registration and it lists a William Kelly with parents Michael Kelly and Ellen Salmon. Which has really confused me. The date of birth or baptism was listed as March 1867 I think.

William lived in Mountrath, County Laois and Married Anne Guidera in the 1890s. Thomas was listed as deceased on his marriage certificate. I am not sure exactly where William was born but on certain records he is listed at being born in Laois although I’m not sure how accurate this is.

I haven’t been able to find out what Mary’s maiden name was as well.
