Hi Everyone,
I am looking for information on my ancestor, Patrick Glennon. He had a daughter, who went by Annie. Annie married John Delaney and they lived in Laois.
Patrick married Mary, I don’t know what her maiden name is.
I don’t know when Patrick was born but I estimate Annie to have been born around 1869.
Thank you!
Luke,
Roots Ireland shows an Anne Glennon baptized 20 Jul 1862 to parents Patrick Glennon & Mary Quigley, residence - Coolehill, RC parish of Castletown, Laois. Sponsors were Patt Quigley & Mary Delaney. This could be the one you are in search of despite the earlier baptism record as people often didn't know their birth year as they didn't mark birthdays as we do nowadays, and there were not any public records indicating birth year back then.
Their marriage record on Roots from 21 Feb 1898 shows her residence as "Coole", so my guess is that is her correct baptism record.
Additionally, there is a marriage record for Pat Clennan & Mary Quigley in Castletown parish on 7 Feb 1853, but no fathers' names are given.
Regards,
In addition to Anne, RootsIreland shows baptisms for the following Glennon children: Richard 1857 and Maria 1853.
