John Flanagan from Queens County

Laois

My third Great Grandfather was John Flanagan( 1801-59). He was a Master Butcher in Goulburn NSW in the 1850s. I believe he was an Irish convict from Queens County on the ship Earl Grey (1836) and sentenced for stealing sheep. I'd love to know other peoples ideas on this connection.

Hello,

Not sure what you are seeking. Do you want information about John in Ireland? Proof that he is the John who was transported? Any info you can give will be of help.

Court case details of the sheep stealing  would be fabulous. Then finding some distant DNA relatives based originally somewhere in Queens county, his supposed origin.
