As good a place to start is this link https://www.irishgenealogy.ie/en/.

Then there is the 1901 and 1911 census though this may not find your relatives it may highlihgt or siblings of theirs if you have any names http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/,

There is also a facebook page for Kilkenny down memory lane https://www.facebook.com/groups/208774619314035/.

and

https://www.facebook.com/groups/cloghbook/ or Clogh and District Chat https://www.facebook.com/Clogh-and-Disrict-CHAT-126646147450437/?fref=ts,  The first wo are closed and you may ask to join first but think the last is open to anyone.

There are dozens of Brennan's in this part of Ireland and you may also wish to contact the churches in Clogh and Castlecomer to check their registers for births, marriages etc.

Hope this helps.  Kind regards, Nuala Finnegan
