Searching for records.

KilkennyCallan (Kilkenny)

I have been researching my great-great grandparents. On their marriage records (Charleston, Massachussetts, USA), Laurence Doheny (born about 1838) and Alice Hoban (born about 1840) stated that they were from Ireland. I wonder if there is a possibility of confirming that.

Now, Alice Hoban, listed her parents as William Hoban and Catherine(Unknown surname). They were also listed as from Ireland.

Laurence Doheny (possibly spelled Doheney) stated his parents were Patrick and Mary (unknown surname), also from Ireland.

I know it's not much to go on, but I'd be grateful for any insight on where I can learn about these family members.

Dear Clare,

Thank you for checking on me! Unfortunately, try as I might, I can not find any further information to the people above. I have been able to narrow down a birthdate some. To correct the above,  Alice was born around 1836. All the other information remains the same. I found this information on a marriage record and that is all I have to go on.
