John Scott in Naas
I am looking for information on John Scott who was born c. 1807. He died July 27, 1882 and is buried in Maudlins Cemetery in Naas. He married Anne Fisher in Naas on April 18, 1839 and they had 7 children that I know of. Two that appear on his tombstone as having died young - Issac and Harriet Elizabeth.
John's occupation was nailor/manufacturer, and lived in what appears to be a large house on Friary Rd. The 1901 and 1911 census records indicate that his unmarried daughter Anne Jane Scott still lived in the family home. While John Scott lived in Naas and made his living there, I am trying to ascertain whether he was actually born there, or came from elsewhere. I have been unable to find any record of his birth or who his parents were, and would appreciate any direction someone might have to help.
