My ancestor Baptist Lucas is said to have been born in Tralee in the 1700's and was probably protestant. It looks like there are no records, but any info would be helpful. I am coming to Ireland in March 2016.
Theresa:
Church of Ireland records for Tralee go back to 1771. Not sure if that is too late for you. See this link. You may want to contact the church

My ancestor was a little before that. I did not want to hunt for something that isn't there.
Dear Maurice, I have been out of action for quite a while. Many thanks to Roger for his suggestion to you. I remember that there was a query re the Lucas family some time ago. It may be useful to you.
