Information please William Gahen b. c 1771 Kerry, Ireland

Kerry

I don't know where in Kerry, Ireland my ancestor William GAHEN came from, but he arrived on Prince Edward Island, Canada around 1798 (the lst wave) and maried  Margaret WARREN, daughter of Benjamin WARREN 20 Feb. 1800, Richmond's Bay, Prince Co., PEI, Canada.  I do not know who Wm. Gahen's father's name was.  Wiliam Gahen was a ship's captain.  Any information greatly appreciated. thank you.

Dear Lynne,

In 1853, there is a William Gahan listed in Ballyseedy which is on the outskirts of modern day Tralee. If William was a name handed down in the family this might be relevant.

I am wondering if this is the same William?

This is not a name I am familiar with but Gahan can also be found in Kenmare but no William.

Do you know which shipping company William worked with? If you know whether William worshipped in a Catholic or other Church this may be of assistance too.

I do hope you get back in touch so that we can search some more.
