Help identifying townlands
Hello,
I was hoping someone might be able to help me identify the townlands for my ancestors. I have identified several baptism records in the parishes of Rathmore and Boherbue from the 1830's/40's which I believe are for the same family which may have moved, but I can seem to match the townlands named in the baptism records to current existing towns.
The first two are from the Parish of Boherbue and list the residence as URRHIL. The second two are from the parish of Rathmore and one lists the residence as KNOCKEENAand the other KNOCKIKINA. I'm not sure if these are two different townlands, or if this is just a spelling or transcription error.
For Urrhil, the closest matches I have found are Urraghilmore East, Urraghilmore West and Urraghilbeg. Would it be one of those?
For Knockeena, there are many townlands starting with Knock, so I'm not sure if one in particular would have been listed as Knockeena.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Mike
