Hi
Do you know much about their emigration? Dates - ? The reseans they left - who they might have travelled with etc? Often more infomration was given at the port of arrival - if you knew where they arrived this might be a source of further information.
If you haven't already - You could try checking the land records called the Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38) or the later Griffith's Valuation (1848-64) for the family. The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-38): Microfilm copies of the books for all of Ireland are available at the National Archives of Ireland (NAI) http://www.nationalarchives.ie/genealogy1/genealogy-records/tithe-applotment-books-and-the-primary-griffith-valuation/ or the Church of Latter Day Saints (LDS). Griffith's is freely available here: www.askaboutireland.com or here: www.failteromhat.com Failte Romhat has lots of other useful links you could try looking at. You might also try http://www.irishgenealogy.ie/
Remember to post as much information as you can regarding the people you are researching. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.

I must apologize to you to wait so long to thank you for your efforts. Please forgive me. I have a little additional information. The parents of Julia Murphy were Jeremiah Murphy and Mary Edenden. Jeremiah was born in 1780 in Castleisland and died before 1850. Mary Edenden was born in 1790 in Ireland. Their child Julia was born in Castleisland in March 1812.
