Hi Steve,

One of the first things I learned in Irish genealogy research is that dates are all over the place. People at the time your ancestors lived did not celebrate birthdays and often didn't know how old they were. They weren't asked for ID all the time like we are today or for their date of birth. Also, the person supplying the age to the census taker or undertaker may not have known the person's real age.

Hi Steve, Just seen yr message re DELIA KILROY.

It looks like Bridget(Delia) had a brother Martin Kilroy. Father Michael Kilroy, Grandfather Eugene Kilroy. Mother Ellen Crehan.

Michael Kilroy died in 1898 and Ellen in 1894 Kilasolan. There was another brother Michael born in 1871 and died in 1872.

Hope that helps.
