I assume you want to learn more about Matthew's and Jane's life in Galway? To assist volunteers, please add some dates and information. Approximate birth dates, perhaps from a St. Louis/ US Census Approximately, when were they married? Did they have children in Galway? Approximately when were they born? When did they go to the UK? When did they go to America? Which port? Parents' names on death certificates. Any other information you have about them.

Matthew was born in 1824. He married Jane Dempsey and they immigrated to Sheffield England. They had a baby girl in England named Mary. The three of them immigrated to the US in 1853 on the Golconda and settled in St Louis. There they had Margaret, Ann and Josephine.

They came through Castle Garden

I checked Ancestry and RootsIreland but I couldn't find a marriage record for Matthew and Jane. I did find info someone posted on Ancestry about Mathew's sister Margaret Graham Bryne sending her son Patrick Bryne to St. Louis to live with Matthew. One tree shows Patrick born to Thomas Bryne and Margaret Graham in 1848 in Loughrea, Galway., no documentation was attached.
