Rachel,
I attach a record of the townland of Cahercon - Barony of Kiltartan which has a John Fallon farming there in early 1850's - Griffith's Valuation printed in 1855.
He is renting the land from the Kilkelly estate and the Gregory estate.
Do you have the names of Redmond Fallon's parents?
Regards,
In the Tithe Applotment Books for Co. Galway, there were two heads of household named Redmond Fallon. One of them was in Rhen, parish of Kilkeely.
Fallon Redmd Ardrhan Ardrahan Galway 1826
Fallon Redmd Rhen Killeely Galway 1826
The townland is now spelled RINN:

Not sure if you have this...
In 1855, Redmond Fallon was a head of household living in Rinn in Griffith's Valuation:

Thanks Patricia and McCoy for your responses . Unfortunately I don’t know Redmond’s parents names. He’s buried in Killeely Church (died in 1864) and on his gravestone it says his Wife’s name was Mary Connelly and his son was Martin Fallon (my Great Grandfather x2) I also know he had another son called Robert Fallon who married Nora Martin. There was also potentially a third son called Patrick Fallon who died at 22 years old in 1869. All of them lived in Rhinn/Rinn.
I have no other links to cahercon as of yet but it’s intriguing that it’s on his death cert and I think it is the most likely place his parents were from. I’ll do more research into John Fallon.
Thanks again!
Rachel,
I attach a copy of the marriage of Martin Fallon in 1869. He is recorded as Rhinn. Civil birth record for a Redmond Fallon 1871 - Father - Martin Fallon.
Do you have the death record for Redmond Fallon in Cahercon. Does it say whether married, widower, single. The index records him as 63 years.
The first name "Redmond" was common in East County Galway. Source: Subscription site www.findmypast.ie

Rachel,
Attached record of 1901 Irish Census for "Fallon" in Cahercon. None of the three men are married.
You may get information from the relatives of the person recorded on Form B1
Regards,
Hi the birth and death dates are slightly different, but some of the other details you mention suggest that perhaps the Redmond Fallon you are referring to is my great-great-great-grandfather. He had a son Martin who, like you, was my great-great grandfather. Martin's daughter Sarah came to the US around 1906. According to Sarah's memoirs Redmond left Ireland and came to England after the birth of his son Martin (he also had a son Patrick). Redmond lived for a time in Newhall Wood, which I believe is southwest of Leeds. The memoirs also state that Redmond had been a wealthy man back in Ireland until the Bank of Ireland failed. I, too, have been unable to trace back who Redmond Fallon's parents are. Ancestry.com suggests a Patrick Fallon but there is very little in the way of any other information about who Patrick might have been, and I am wondering if they are conflating this with his son Patrick. However, my family keeps in contact with some Fallon cousins currently living in England. I can't attach the memoirs of my great-grandmother, Sarah Fallon Whittle, because it's more than 2MB, but you can access the scanned pdf in this link to the file in my google drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1eSYH-MuZFjNMIsR49bLOYbUgBar49-ty/view?usp=share_link --see the bottom of page 11 for information on Redmond Fallon. It sounds like you and I might be related if my Redmond Fallon is the same as yours :)
