Hynes Family of Cloonsheen (16-acre holding) / Martin and Nora Hynes
I am looking for anyone who remembers the Hynes family who held an 16-acre ancestral farm in Cloonsheen for at least a hundred years. Michael Hynes died in Cloonsheen 1949, and his wife Mary (Connor) died in Corbally in 1967. I am trying to find out what happened to their (presumably) unmarried children, Martin Hynes (born 1916) and Honor/Nora Hynes (born 1911), who I believe stayed in the area. Did Martin ever marry or pass the 16 acres to a local family? Are they buried unmarked in Kilconly? Any local memory of the Cloonsheen Hynes farm would mean the world.
Their other children married: Mary (b. 1906) married Patrick Murphy, Bridie (Bridget, b. 1914-5) and had several children including Nora, Kathleen, Chrissy and Bridget, Bridget married William Kelly and had several children and Michael (1909-1971) married Susan and they lived in Dublin with their family.
Any info about Nora and Martin would be most welcome. I'd also appreciate any info about the rest of the family. s#
