What was Glenamaddy like in the mid to late 1800s?

GalwayGlenamaddy (Galway)

Hello. One branch of my family tree originates with families named Connelly and Concannon fromWilliamstown, Galway,in the Parish of Templetogher.

From there they emigrated to England and some later went to America.

I'm wondering whether people who've researched Glenamaddy could provide some insight into life at that place and time.

Best,
Katherine

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Ouy!

Hopefully someone with Glenamaddy connections will comment on your post. In the interim, I would suggest that you e-mail the branch library in Glenamaddy and see what resources they would suggest.
