Glynn/Kelly family

GalwayFohenagh Killure And Kilgerril (Galway)

Looking for information on Glynn/Kelly family.   Thought the family might have been from Ahascrach have land records but RC church records are missing.  Noticed a civil record for  Rose Glynn born around 1864-1865 in Clonbrock and Keave. daughter of Michael Glynn and Bridget Kelly  I thought some of the family might have worked at Clonbrock House and noticed Clonbrock ruins are in their parish.   Had other children Thomas born around 1859 and Julia born around 1857.  Those three children emigrated to Boston, MA.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!

Roots Ireland does not have baptismal records for Fohanagh/Kilgerril RC parish but here is the link to the online parish register.

http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0331    You may want to search the register for records for your family.

The 1856 Griffiths Valuation hea dof household listing shows a Michael Glynn in Cloonatleava Lowere townland. This may be your ancestor or someone else with the same name. http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/galway/fohanagh.htm

Let me know if you have any questions.
