Did Patrick and Bridget Lowry Loftus' kids remain in Clonbur?
My grandfather Peter Lowry imigrated to Scranton, PA. Three of his siblings (who were born in Ballydoolaugh townland and baptized in nearby Clonbur) remained in Ireland. Bridget married Patrick Loftus and bore eight children one of whom married a Dempsy who lived with them in Clonbur. (See attached 1901 and 1911 household census) Bridget and Patrick Loftus are buried in the Clonbur (Rosshill) graveyard with two children Mary and Tady which makes me think relative live in the area. I'm looking for any living decendents of this Loftus family who might be able to tell me what became of Peter's other two siblings Martin and Catherine Lowry who remained in the Ballydoolaugh home through the 1911 census. (See attached Lowry household 1911 census.) Just wondering if they remained single or did Martin continue the Lowry name in Ireland.
