I am in search of information regarding

Michael McDonnell born in 1888. Attached is Michael's birth record. We know that he was alive in 1935.

John McDonnell born in 1892

Patrick McDonnell born in 1899

I have been told by two different branches of our family that one or more of the brothers Michael, John and Patrick McDonnell died in a fishing boat accident.

Their parents were Patrick McDonnell (1851-1907) and Margaret Coyne (1853-1935). They were Roman Catholic. Their sisters names are Mary O'Malley(1881-1918), Bridget Murphy (1882-1937), Anna Conroy(1883-1955), Margaret Simmons (1886-1967), Catherine O'Malley(1887-1942), Julia Finn (1896-1889) and Honor McDonnell (1890-) We do not know if they married. We have excellent documentation on 6 of their sisters, but very few documents regarding these brothers.

I searched the free site irishgenealogy.ie for the period 1911-1930 in the Clifden registration district for possible death records. I located one for a John Joseph McDonnell who died in 1921 from gun shot wounds. See third record at this link https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1921/05094/4398932.pdf

The age matches up with an 1892 birth.

Ancestry has a passenger ship record for Patrick McDonnell of Renvyle, son of Patrick of Renvyle, brother of Joseph who lives in Cambridge, Mass. You did not have a Joseph in your list, but could this be your Patrick?
