I am visiting Northern Ireland (focusing on Londonderry/Derry and County Fermanagh) from August 12 to August 31 (2013) and while I have a very good record of my Irish ancestry in both Counties Fermanagh and Londonderry, I am wondering if there is anyway to contact any Caldwells in Counties Fermanagh and Londonderry. If so, I will gladly share my contact information.

I am descended from John Alexander Caldwell who left Antrim and came to the United States in 1727. He settled in Virginia, establishing the Caldwell settlement there. His family branched out, part of them going south to the Carolinas and the others (my family branch) moved west and established what is now Danville, Kentucky.

I am directly related to James Caldwell of Castle Caldwell and the Caldwells who moved to the Ulster Region from Ayreshire, Scotland, I believe in the 1600s.

I have a lot more information, but figure I can share more of that in the near future. It would be wonderful to at least meet and share stories with some of our Irish Caldwell family branch.

Thank you,
