McNamee family from Co Fermanagh on the 1911 census

Fermanagh

I am researching this McNamee family and so far drawn a blank, I only have this...

From the 1911 census. William McNamee age 54, Maggie McNamee age 29 (married 6 years with 2 children, both still alive) William McNamee age 5, Hazalet McNamee age 3.  All from Co Fermanagh.

I can only find them on the 1911 census as visitors in the household of an Auchinaleck family in Bundoran, part of Drumacrin, Finner, Magheracar (Bundoran, Donegal) See file attached.

I am interested in finding out about the marriage of William & Maggie (?Margaret) in c1905 and the birth of their two children.  In fact I'd like to find out anything about them.

Thank you for your help.

Graham,

Found the birth of Hazalet. It looks as though Maggie’s maiden name was Auchinleck so the family are probably lodging with her parents.

Can’t see the marriage for William and Maggie but that looks to be the connection between the 2 families

This may be Maggie in the 1901 census:

Good morning Elwyn

Thank you so much for this.  I had searched irishgenealogy.ie and had not found it. The surname spelling is McNemea, so that was why. It seems the William and Maggie marriage might continue to be a bit illusive.  Any thoughts on this?

Again many thanks for this.

Here’s William’s birth in 1906:

Both that certificate and Hazlett’s indicate the couple said they were married but there is always the possibility they were not. Probably the spelling is way off and that is making it difficult to find the marriage. And occasionally churches forgot to notify the civil Registrar of marriages.  But that apart I have no other suggestions as to why it isn’t showing up.
