Info on Great-Grandfather's family

I am looking for information on Robert Leonard McGuire who was born in Ogdensberg, NY. He was my Great grandfather but I cant find anything further back on his Irish heritage. He was born Sept. 10, 1881 and died Nov. 17, 1954.He married Nettie Leone Fetterley June 25, 1907. I will be taking a trip to Dublin Feb. 2017. It would be nice to be able to possibly find some long lost relatives. Robert and Nettie had 2 children, Marion and Lillian. I am trying to find out where his father and mother came from in Ireland but am unable to locate their names. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
