Connolly family

FermanaghAghalurcher (Fermanagh)

My grandfather (James Edward Connolly) isburied, along with his wife (Rebecca) andmy mother (Kathleen Arthur) in Trinity Church Cemetery in Lisnaskea. His mother Eliza Jane (, nee Liddell, is buried, along with his grandparents(Hugh (1806-1868) and Mary, (1797-1851)nee ? Waldron)and great grandfather John Connolly ( 1760-1842), in Aghalurcher Cemetery, just outside Lisnaskea. I'm looking for more information on said John Connolly, Mary ? Waldron and my ggf GeorgeConnolly, (1884-1924) who married Mary Jane Moore, after the death of his first wife, and of course any information on my ggmEliza Jane Liddell. I do not know where my ggf GeorgeConnolly is buried.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out

If you take out a 24 hour subscription to rootsireland.ie you will see that George and Eliza were married on 31 May 1869 in Enniskillen. His father was Hugh and hers was Thomas. Both men were farmers. Their children are listed as Thomas Hugh, Mary Ann, Frances Maria, James Arthur, James John. You can use that site to search further back and forward though be mindful that CofI records for Lisneakea don't begin until 1804 for baptisms, marriages and deaths. 

There are two listings for a Hugh in the Griffith's Valuation here. You can continue by searching the Revision Books at the PRONI website to see how long they stayed on those plots

You could also have a look at the 1901/1911 Census to find out more
