Hi, I've been tracing both sides of my family tree. The Davies/Davis branch has led me here.
Elizabeth Davis was born 10th June 1885 and baptised 12th July at St Peter's. Her parents where John and Jane. He was a carpenter, is it possible to find more about his trade?
Dear Becky
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out and apologies for the delay in replying to your message.
As you can see from the link below, St. Peter?s is a Civil Parish in Dublin:
In relation to finding more information about John?s trade, you could look at Pettigrew and Oulton?s Dublin Almanac and General Register of Ireland. This lists the merchants and traders as well as residents of each of the main streets. This website is interesting and may help: http://irishalmanacs.blogspot.ie/
You can also access Slater?s Directory of Ireland, here: http://www.failteromhat.com/slaterl.htm
Remember to post any new information that you find here. The more information you post, the more likely it is that one of our volunteers will be able to advise or assist you. Also include information concerning which sources you may have already used so others may further your search.
Best of luck with your search
