Anne Christina Reilly

St Nicholas Without (Dublin)

My G Grandmother was born approx 1872 and shown on her husband's army record as St Nicholas , Francis Street Dublin. Before Covid I contacted the church and was told her parents were Charles and Mary and an address of 7 Whitefriar Street Dublin.

I have details of Anne (Annie) after her marriage to James Joseph Baker of Royal Munster Fusiliers and subsequent move to Bradford, but cannot find her or her sister Margaret's (born 1874) birth records.

I can find Margaret's family on the 1901 census including their Mother Mary, Widow ages 60, occupation greengrocer. I have been trying to find more information about Charles and Mary (maiden name) for quite some time but have been unsuccessful.

Could anyone help please?

Attached is the marriage record for Anne if you do not have it. On the free site irishgenealogy.ie under the church records tab, I found a birth record for a Margaret Reily, but puts her about 10 years older than the information you have. Caution - ages given in census records are not always accurate.

I could not locate a record for Anne.

I just located a Christina Reily born 18 Dec 1867 to Charles Reily & Mary Dalton, St. Nicholas Parish, sponsors - John Reily & Mary Bourke. The address is only given as"13?"...person transcribing could not determine it. Found this record also on church records tab.

So, they were a bit older than reported in later records which is NOT uncommon.
