Hi Valerie
There is lots of useful information to be found in the 1901 and 1911 census records. You can find this here: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search/ which may help you to make a conection. Also https://familysearch.org/ may help you to trace the families you are looking for.
The database for genealogical records in Dublin may be of some assistance to you http://dublinnorth.rootsireland.ie/. Information from this source is available for a fee.
I wish you luck in your search.
Please make sure you link anyone else in your family who is interested in their Irish heritage to our site - and indeed anyone else you know of Irish heritage.

Ireland Reaching Out
Good evening,
I have been trying to find any information on my husbands line. Dowdle/Dowdall. The family was from Dublin. his father's name was Laurce Dowdle the only record I have been able to locate is the baptism record of Walter Dowdle dated 1813. Walter left Ireland in 1864 during the potatoe famine. and landed in New York USA.
Should you have any information please let me know.
Thank you,
Barbara Dowdle
