Can you confirm dates of death and full names and approx. places of death for Thomas & Beatrice - I'm not seeing burials for these two in Deansgrange or civil death records ?
There's a good match for Evelyn in burial records (Everafter/Deansgrange) - date of death 10th Feb 1954, date of burial 13th Feb 1954, reported age 50 Protestant, single, last residence 66 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge - undertaker J.C. Nichols, burial plot : St. Nessan/K/53
Other burials in the same plot are shown as : Thomas Murphy April '61, Phyllis Murphy 1997 and Florence Murphy Aug '89.
The corresponding death record (Irish Genealogy link) for Evelyn adds a few details - place of death Dublin City Hospital, no occupation, cause of death looks like 'Aitrial Stenosis' informant is a P. Parnell a member of staff from the hospital. Only significant difference is her reported age - 54 years...vs 50 in burial register
Thom's 1949 lists 66 Pembroke Road as a shared address with 4 principle occupants, probably a building sub-divided into flats - James Fortune, Miss K. Bennett, W. Henderson and Miss F. Murphy - the same four names appears in the 1953 listing.

Thank you for your assistance.
I have a copy of a Death Certificate for Beatrice Murphy. This shows her death on September 29, 1982 at age 61. Beatrice died at Our Lady’s Hospice in Harolds Cross , Dublin and her death was recorded by the hospice on October 5th, 1982. Evidently Beatrice lived at 30 Whitebarn Road, Churchtown, Co. Dublin prior to her death.
The only information I have for Thomas Alexander Murphy is that he died on April 29, 1966.
Evelyn V. M. Murphy death as 10 February 1954.
Thanks
Thanks
Using that revised date I found the burial for your Beatrice - Plot: St. Nessan/R/54, date of death 29th Sept. 1982 burial 1st October, the entry on Everafter/DeansGrange includes a photo of the headstone. Burial record show her age as 61 and single, last residence 30 Whitebarn Rd. Churchtown as per your info. I dont see a Murphy connection at the moment to the address - principle occupant in the early 80s has the surname Salisbury ?
Some of my own relatives lived just around the corner from 30 Whitebarn Road on Whitehall Rd near the old Bottle Tower..
Also buried in the same plot are a Sarah Murphy Dec 1966 and Thomas Murphy Apr. 1964, the residence for this Thomas is 2 Biggar Road, Walkinstown.. date of death for him 7 April 1964.
I'll have another look for Thomas A. 1966... the IrishGenealogy website does not index middle names, not sure if Deans Grange system does...so quite a few Thomas Murphys to check - do you know if your Thomas is likely to have lived and died in the same area as Beatrice and Evelyn - i.e. South Dublin ?
I see 6 entries on the Deansgrange system with date of death 29th Apr 1966 - but none of these have the surname Murphy
I think I've located your Thomas - breakthrough was using the IGP(*) Dublin website which has transcripts and photos for many headstones, including Deangrange. See the the entry for photo 1883 on this page (abt half way down the file). - the transcript reads as follows :
In Loving Memory of | EVELYN V. M. MURPHY | who died 10th February 1954
| THOMAS A. ALEXANDER MURPHY | who died April 29th 1961 | "Until the day
dawn"
So it seems that the date of death for Thomas was 29th April 1961.. using this as a starting point we can see that he's listed without a middle name, Deansgrange plot is St. Nessan/K/53 , i.e. the same plot as Evelyn. Burial record notes date of burial as 2nd May 1961 and married, age 50 Church of Ireland, 66 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge - the entry notes his middle name as 'Alfred' ? Maybe Alfred Alexander ?
Here's a link to his civil death record 'Thomas Alfred A. Murphy' reported age 50 and place of death at 66 Pembroke Rd., informant is a Florence Murphy
Thanks to his unique middle names I've located a very probable match for his birth - Thomas Alfred Alexander Murphy born 1st October 1909, parents Christopher Murphy and Florence Fleming..
Also a possible marriage - Thomas Alfred Alexander Murphy to Eileen Marie Boardman 16th Sept 1936 at St. James Church of Ireland Dublin city.
Shane:
Thanks for the information. I am amazed what you have been able to find in such a short time.
I am puzzled as to the relationship between those who are buried along with Thomas Murphy. I don’t have any idea as to if these people lived together in Dublin or other location in Ireland or how they were related.
The only thing I am sure of is that Beatrice Murphy is in fact a direct relative of mine. The fact that she seems to be buried with the other Murphy’s is a mystery to me.
Thanks again.
Shane:
Thanks for all the help. Very difficult to dig up this information from overseas.
I am searching for a birth certificate for Beatrice Murphy that hopefully matches the information uncovered to date.
Any suggestions on how to proceed would be appreciated.
Thanks again
Based on the age reported on her death and burial (60/61) Beatrice should have been born around 1921 - the free IrishGenealogy website covers currently births for ROI up to 1923 (NI up to end 1921), so if the details are correct then a record should be on their system.
Beatrice is a quite uncommon first name at the time and only a few reasonably close matches that I can see :
8th October 1920 , Skipton Street, Belfast, parents Hugh Murphy labourer & Beatrice Willerton
28 October 1923, Creevagh, Co. Mayo (Ballina reg. dist), parents John Murphy farmer & Rose Corcoran
29 May 1916, Derryadd, Co. Armagh (Lurgan reg. dist.), illegitimate, mother Isabella Murphy occ. 'white worker'
Note it's not unusual for reported ages to be incorrect, especially on deaths. Given how rare the firstname is I would also consider the possibility that Beatrice was not her registered birth name - I've seen cases where people used a different name they preferred as they grew up, or maybe was more fashionable at the time.
You mentioned this Beatrice is related to you in some way - maybe a sister of a direct ancestor ? do you have any details of parents or siblings etc that might help ?
Shane:
Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of useful information to offer. This has been a very frustrating experience trying to figure this out. I was placed in orphanages at an early age and raised in foster care and institutions.
I believe that Beatrice Murphy of Deans Grange is most likely my mother. I don’t have any further information on relatives or other relevant information.
A recent search of my long version birth certificate indicates that my mother was apparently a resident of Dovea, Thurles, Tipperary at the time of my birth. Not sure if that is of any use.
Thanks again for all your help
Les
