Martin Connection
Good morning travelling to Ireland May/June/July and specifically looking for a marriage certificate for Maurice Martin to Mary either Fagan or Reddy
I am hoping that someone can help with this.
Martin and Lennon connections through DNA;
Maurice Martin 1775-1865 married Mary Reddy or Fagan,(surname needs to confirmed) a marriage certificate cannot be located to confirm either Reddy or Fagan.
Maurice was recorded in 1851 at Eustace Street St Andrews Dublin; 1858 12 Sycamore Alley Dublin South. Maurice died 20 Jul 1865 • Dublin South, Ireland
Maurice died as a widower, occupation wineporter, present at death was Agnes McDonnih, 2 Sycamore Alley. (Possible Agnes Ann McDonnell). Certificate registered 1 August 1865. Burial record for Goldenbridge Cemetery. Buried in grave M2/5 with wife Mary. Mary Martin died 23 October 1830 in Sackville Lane buried Goldenbridge Cemetery M2/5 with her husband Maurice Martin.
The children of Maurice and Mary are:
Patrick Joseph Martin born 1917 Dublin married Bridget Moran 3 Sep 1837 • St. Mary Pro Cathedral, Dublin, Ireland. Witnesses John Moran and Cathe Fallon. They arrived in Australia. Patrick died 27 Mar 1869 • Beechworth Hospital, Victoria, Australia. Parents stated as Maurice Martin a clerk and Mary Fegan. Informant son Henry Martin. (DNA matches to the brothers in this line), his death certificate indicates Mary formerly Fegan.
Catherine Martin 1819 Dublin no further details.
Anne Agnes Martin 1821 married William Alfred Lennon 23 Feb 1843 • St Marys Pro Cathedral, Dublin, Ireland Witnesses: John Hugh and Ann Mooney. It is the children of Anne and William that show the DNA matches to the brothers, I have located many of them in Australia and we are working together to find the common ancestor.
John Martin born 1923 Dublin no further details.
Elizabeth Martin born 1826 Dublin married James McDonnell 6 Jul 1851 • St. Andrews, Westland Row, Dublin City, Ireland, Witnesses: Martin Kirstey and Michael Gormley. Both died in New York USA. (DNA matches in this line).
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Kind Regards
