Corr / Reid / Fitzpatrick families – Oldtown, Garristown, Nutstown, Ballyboughal, Balrothery in Co. Dublin

Hi everyone,

I’m researching the Corr family from the Bog of the Ring, Balrothery, and I’m looking to connect with anyone with links to the Reid or Fitzpatrick families from the Oldtown, Garristown, Nutstown, or Ballyboughal areas to help piece together possible family connections.

I believe the following marriages may link these families:

• Elizabeth Corr married Andrew Fitzpatrick on 4 June 1894 in Damastown

• Catherine Corr married James Reid on 22 October 1894 in Damastown

• Jane Corr married James Donnelly on 20 October 1897 in Damastown

I’m trying to confirm whether these Corr women were indeed sisters - all daughters of John Corr and Catherine Smith (or Smyth) from the Bog of the Ring. 

I have the civil birth record of Jane Corr, which names her parents as John and Catherine Corr (née Smith), but I don’t have any records for Catherine or Elizabeth, as I believe they were born before civil registration for births began in 1864. 

These ladies may also have had siblings: John Corr (b. ?, d.14 Feb 1938) and Mary Corr (b.14 May 1866, d.30 March 1881).

If anyone has family connections, records, or local knowledge that might help confirm these relationships, I’d be very grateful to hear from you.
